Hello,
Thank you for providing Perlfect Search. I have been using it for years
now and have always been extremely happy. I do have one problem that has
been nagging me.
The HTML of the majority of my pages on the site start similar to
this...
<HTML CODE>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
Transitional//EN"
=09
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
=09
<html xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
=09
<head>
<meta name=3D"keywords" content=3D"kansas, university,
alumni, association, kansas university alumni association" />
<meta name=3D"description" content=3D"Rock Chalk Ball" />
<meta name=3D"generator" content=3D"Microsoft FrontPage 5.0"
/>
<meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Language" content=3D"en-us" />
<meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html;
charset=3Dwindows-1252" />
<meta name=3D"GENERATOR" content=3D"Microsoft FrontPage 4.0"
/>
<meta name=3D"ProgId" content=3D"FrontPage.Editor.Document"
/>
</HTML CODE>
When indexed and searched I get these results in the resultant page...
10. page.html
The Description Meta Tag" />
If I take the "/" out of the description meta tag everything is fine.
The problem is the HTML Tidy and other editors want to correct this. Is
there a way around this or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Mike Wick
