[Perlfect-search] umlaut problems

I have some problems with search in text with umlaut.
I insert search word décennie
and get the answer:
Your search for deacute;cennie did not produce any results.

Why I get word  deacute;cennie  instead of  décennie? Where is &
symbol?
How I can correct this problem?
