thanks again daniel,

i will try that. for now i have decided to go with the java search engine,
lucene (http://jakarta.apache.org/lucene/docs/index.html). since the site
will be java servlet/jsp based anyway, i guess it sort of makes sense to in
a way. thanks very much for all of your help.
