I have a couple (2) Questions regarding the Perlfect Search tool. So =
here goes.
1. After installing the new Perlfect search and running indexer.pl, =
nothing was picked up on my perlfect search. So, I read this list =
servers entries and found that I needed to rename all of the _TMP named =
files(e.g. inv_index_tmp.dir, inv_index_tmp.pag, docs_tmp.pag, etc. ) =
in the data area to the same name but without the _TMP within the name. =
Well, as soon as I did that, things worked great........but after =
changing the site and running indexer.pl again, I realized that the =
indexer recreated the _TMP files in addition to the files I renamed (the =
file names without the _TMP) above. Since Perlfect never found any of =
my NEW pages, I figured that the indexer ONLY places new index entries =
within the _TMP files. So, I did the rename stuff all over again and =
Perlfect picked up the new entries........My Question.....IS THERE AN =
EASIER WAY??????
Here is what is NOW out in my data directory....

2. I made a change to one HTML page for a test. I entered AMAZON on =
this page and only this test HTML page. The phrase did not exist =
anywhere else in my site and Perlfect picked up a page on which I don't =
find the phrase.....ANY Ideas? Here is the page it picked up in error:
!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML//EN">
Thanks much......
