[Perlfect-search] can't create directory or files

Greetings,

Just installed Perlfect Search.  Did the "Automatic" in one directory and
the "manual" in another.  Neither seems to be able to create files or
directories.  Can't create data directory.

Unix rig.  Any one have any ideas?
